About Camera Modes

4G Solar Pan Tilt Cam features several modes that differ between the number of alerts detected, videos recorded, and battery life saved.

In all modes, the camera will record motion until no human is detected or until the maximum recording time is reached.

By default, the camera is set to Optimal Battery Life, which protects battery life if the camera has less than 30 daily alerts. The system will detect and record every alert. Every recording will be up to 20 seconds in length. If intense motion is detected, the mode decreases the detection interval to reduce battery drainage. Optimal Battery Life mode is suitable for cameras facing several moving objects, such as a driveway or an office.

If you prefer recording more events, you can select Optimal Surveillance mode. Clip lengths extend to 60 seconds, and there will be a shorter recording interval if too many alerts occur within a short timeframe. This mode is suitable for most cases.

If you don't want to miss any events, select Customize Recording mode. You can manually set the recording length and detection interval. If you set the detection interval to 5 seconds, the system will record every event for you. Note, your battery will drain faster in this mode and will likely decrease your battery life to less than 1 month.
