Can the camera be installed outdoors?

Yes, the camera can be installed outdoors. The device is designed to operate within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F). If the temperature drops below -20°C (-4°F), the battery's chemistry activity may be reduced, resulting in lower battery levels and shorter battery life. However, the camera will remain operational under such conditions. When the temperature rises, the battery life will return to normal. If the temperature exceeds 60°C (140°F), the camera will indicate overheating in the EufySecurity app and switch off automatically. Once the camera cools down, it will boot up and continue to run.

What height or angle should the camera be installed?

We recommend installing the camera no higher than 3 meters (10 feet) from the ground and with a downtilt no greater than 30°.

When should I use the secure outdoor mount?

If there is frequent heavy rains, strong winds, hail, and other bad weather, please use the secure outdoor mount bracket to install the camera. And we recommend you install a shield to proof the rain or water.
