Laying stepping stones on the lawn can both assist with walking and improve the lawn's layering. However, when using your Robot Lawn Mower, managing the interaction between stepping stones and the Robot Lawn Mower is a matter that requires attention. The following key points provide solutions from the viewpoint of the Robot Lawn Mower's operational logic and user interaction:

  1. Common Scenario: The default working logic of the Robot Lawn Mower

The Robot Lawn Mower uses V-FSD technology to identify obstacles. When stepping stones are present on the lawn, the Robot Lawn Mower will identify them as "obstacles" by default and will actively steer clear of them. This design is primarily based on two reasons:

  • Protect the blade: When the Robot Lawn Mower navigates across a stepping stone, the fast-spinning blade could strike the stone's edge, resulting in the blade bending or sustaining damage.

  • Prevent misjudging the terrain: The composition of the stepping stones and the grass varies significantly, which could impact the stability of the Robot Lawn Mower.

Solution:

  • Manual intervention is not required. The Robot Lawn Mower will cut the grass around the perimeter of the stepping stones, keeping the lawn tidy.

  1. Special Scenario: The Robot Lawn Mower navigates across the stepping stones

If the stepping stones are level with the grass or slightly below ground, the Robot Lawn Mower can navigate across them without damaging the blade. However, the working logic of the Robot Lawn Mower needs to be adjusted in the app.

Solution:

  • Manually configure the stepping stones area in the app.
