Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are services that allow you to directly connect your phone into a car system and operate features such as media and navigation with ease. 

Many newer cars have this already integrated into their media systems, so we have made it that the HR-1 comes compatible with this service, allowing for more convenience and the ability to choose your own media, navigation and communication with a UI that you are already familiar with. 

Please see the guide below to begin setting up your device:

Apple CarPlay:

1. Touch the Apple CarPlay icon on the display screen.
2. Use Bluetooth to pair your iPhone with the device.
3. After pairing, select CarPlay when prompted.
4. The Smart Monitor will now automatically connect to your iPhone via Wi-Fi.

Android Auto:

1. Please ensure that you have downloaded the latest Android Auto app from the Google Play Store to your smartphone.
2.  Touch the Android Auto icon on the display screen.
3. Use Bluetooth to pair your Phone with the device.
4. After pairing, select Android Auto when prompted.
5. The Smart Monitor will now automatically connect to your Phone via Wi-Fi.
