Video Smart Lock Failed to Scan the QR Code

If the Video Smart Lock cannot recognize the QR code, please try the following troubleshooting steps to verify if the issue can be resolved:

  1. Try slowly moving your mobile device closer to or farther away from the camera lens.
  1. Decrease or increase the brightness level of your mobile device.
  1. Avoid scanning the QR code under direct sunlight or in a dark environment.
  1. Try using a mobile device with a large screen, if possible.
  1. Make sure the camera lens is clean.


If none of these steps helped, please reset your device by holding the SYNC button for 10 seconds. Once the device successfully resets, please wait for 30 seconds and then repeat the setup process.
