Mounting options:
Provided in the box gives you two options for mounting your monitors. You can pick between a window suction mount of a 3M adhesive suction mount for the dashboard. Please ensure that when choosing where to mount your monitor, you do not block your view when driving or have it in a spot that may get in the way of the controls. Please ensure that you clean the surface before putting the mount down.
GPS Installation:
Put the GPS antenna into the monitor when it is powered off and remove the red adhesive covering off.
Rear camera installation:
- Select a flat and central location near the number-plate lamp at the rear of your vehicle to mount the camera.
- Attach tape to the bracket of the rear-camera to hold the camera in position while installing and drill two small holes, one for the first screw and the second to run the rear-camera cable through.
- Use a screwdriver to fasten the first screw but leave it loose enough to adjust the rear-camera.
- Insert the rear-camera cable through the intended drilled hole and check the installation position.
- Mark a position suitable for the second screw and drill a small hole.
- Fasten the second screw and tighten both screws securely
Rear camera wiring:
- This task may necessitate the expertise of a professional. If your skills are limited, kindly consult someone who is qualified to handle this.
- To enable the Smart Monitor to display the Rear-camera view when the vehicle is engaged in reverse gear, the red Reversing Light Wire must be connected to the reverse light circuit. Otherwise, the Rear-camera will not work in conjunction with the reverse gear.
- Connect the rear-camera cable with the smart monitor as shown below.
Smart monitor power:
Please use the supplied 12/24V power adaptor to power the HR-1. When the monitor has been mounted, wrap the cable around the dashboard and into the port.
Micro SD card:
Please ensure that the Micro SD card used is at least a class 10 with a minimum capacity of 32GB and a maximum of 128GB.
Formatting the SD card will remove any data on it, so please ensure that nothing of importance is in storage. See the guide below to format the SD card.
- Insert the Micro SD card
- Press the DVR button
- Press the settings button
- Press "Format"
